Everyone goes home
The theme of the tour is "Everyone goes home". Each year on the average we lose 100 firefighters in the line of duty. Heart disease and accidents involving vehicles account for about 75 % of the deaths. The United States Fire Administration along with many key players totaling 5000 years of experience, that's right 5000 years of experience, have aggressively studied these disturbing statistics and have had enough. They feel most of these deaths are preventable so they have formulated 16 life saving initiatives in their effort to reduce the numbers. To increase awareness a team toured the country traveling to 22 major cities with their moving memorial to make an impact and get others to spread the word also. There are 3147 names on the bus, all firefighter we have lost since 1984. The tour started in San Fransico and ended in Framingham.
Have the "courage to be safe" so that "everyone goes home".
